William H. Kirkpatrick

Founder; A.S. in Fisheries and a B.A. in Biology from Mansfield University in Mansfield, PA

Bill was born and raised in Greencastle, PA. He went on to study fisheries and biology at Mansfield University and studied post-graduate at Auburn University. Prior to starting AEC in 1987, Bill worked in fish hatcheries in Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Indiana. Bill is a past president of the Midwest Aquatic Plant Management Society and a previous board member of the Pennsylvania Lake Management Society. Bill has given many presentations on the management of ponds and lakes, including presentations for The University of Maryland, The Penn State Extension Service, the Pennsylvania Lake Management Society, the PA Department of Agriculture, The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission, The Community Association Institute as well as many Golf Course Superintendent Associations. Bill is married to Carole, an elementary school teacher. They have a daughter, Ashley, and a son, Hunter. Bill’s interests include hunting, fishing, and spending time in the outdoors, and with his family.

Joseph V. Pinkerton

Chief Operating Officer; B.S. in Geoenvironmental Studies from Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, PA

Joe was born and raised in Lancaster, PA, where he graduated from Conestoga Valley High School. He then graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geoenvironmental Studies. Joe has been working with AEC since 2000.  Throughout his career, he has managed ponds and lakes throughout Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. Joe currently oversees AEC’s daily business operations. He is a past director of the Northeast Aquatic Plant Management Society and a current central regional director of the Pennsylvania Lake Management Society board. He currently lives in Chambersburg, PA, with his wife and has two sons.

Kevin B. Laite

Aquatic Biologist; B.S. in Chemistry with a Biology minor from Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, PA

Kevin got his start with AEC over several summers, beginning in 1992, while attending Shippensburg University. After graduating with a major in chemistry and a minor in biology, he worked for an aquatic toxicology lab in Hunt Valley, MD. Then in the spring of 1998 Kevin came back to AEC full time. Kevin was born and raised in Chambersuburg, PA where he now lives with his wonderful wife and son. In their free time they enjoy anything outdoors. They go hiking, biking and camping when possible. Kevin also enjoys working in the yard and an occasional outing on the golf course. He is a past director for the Midwest Aquatic Plant Management Society. Kevin’s summer routes usually take him to the areas around Harrisburg, York, Lancaster and Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. He also travels to Delaware, Maryland and Northern Virginia. Kevin appreciates all of the great relationships he has formed with pond and lake owners on his routes and looks forward to every new season.

Ryan M. Stumbaugh

Aquatic Biologist; B.S. in Biology from Millersville University in Millersville, PA

Ryan was born in Chambersburg, PA where he graduated from Chambersburg Area High School. Ryan received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Millersville University. In 2008, Ryan joined the AEC, Inc. team. Ryan manages water bodies across central Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.  He currently resides in Chambersburg with his wife and three sons.  When he is not on the job, Ryan enjoys fishing, hunting and hiking with his family. Ryan also has a passion for BBQ, both creating and consuming.

John Elliott

Aquatic Specialist; B.S. in Business Management from Clemson University in Clemson, SC

John was born and raised in Summerville, SC. He obtained a B.S degree in Business Management from Clemson University in 2009. He interned with AEC for 2 summers before becoming full-time in the spring of 2013. He lives in Chambersburg, PA with his wife Jillian and 3 children. John enjoys staying active playing basketball and being involved in his kids’ sports activities as well as enjoying the outdoors camping with his family. His hobbies include hunting, hiking and keeping up with Clemson football.

Jesse L. Piper

Aquatic Specialist; B.S. in Geo-Environmental Studies from Shippensburg University in Shippensburg, PA

Jesse was born and raised in Blairs Mills, PA, where he graduated from Southern Huntingdon County High School in 2014. Furthering his education, Jesse attended Shippensburg University and majored in geo-environmental studies. While attending Shippensburg, Jesse worked and interned with AEC for 2 years. He became full-time during the spring of 2019. Jesse’s hobbies include hunting and fishing, as well as developing and training coonhounds.

Mike White

Aquatic Biologist; B.S. in Zoo and Wildlife Biology from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA

Mike was born and raised in Chambersburg, PA. He attended Shalom Christian Academy, where he graduated in 2017. Mike went on to attend Liberty University where he graduated with a zoo and wildlife biology degree. Mike became a full-time employee in the summer of 2021. When not working, he loves being active with weightlifting, hunting, and fishing. Other interests include cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Penn State Nittany Lions. We Are!

Kurtis M. Wolfe

Fisheries Biologist/Aquatic Biologist;  B.S. in Fisheries from Manfield University in Mansfield, PA

Kurtis was born and raised in Douglassville, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Daniel Boone High School and then graduated from Mansfield University with a B.S. in Fisheries. In his free time, he enjoys to fly fish, hunt, kayak, and golf. He is also a big Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Evan Miller

Aquatic Biologist; B.A. in Biology from Houghton College in Houghton, NY

Evan was born and raised in Westfield, PA, where he graduated from Cowanesque Valley High School in 2017. He went on to attend Houghton College where he graduated with a biology and education degree. Evan became a full-time employee in August 2024. He lives in Mechanicsburg, PA with his wife Rachel. Outside of work, Evan enjoys running, hiking, and traveling.

Bennett Nordhoff

Aquatic Specialist; B.S. in Conservation & Wildlife Management from Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, PA.

Bennett was raised in Lancaster, PA.  He spent summers and winters on the Eastern Shore of Maryland in Rock Hall. He graduated High School from Pequea Valley and went to Delaware Valley University to study Conservation & Wildlife Management. He played soccer growing up and through college, and spends his free time on the water, hunting, or in the gym. He is also a Baltimore sports fan.

Bri Boyd

Office Manager

Brianne was born and raised in Greencastle, PA where she graduated from Greencastle-Antrim High School. She went on to major in elementary education and minor in early childhood education at Shippensburg University. Brianne graduated Summa Cum Laude from Shippensburg University in 2010. Brianne brings a rich organizational skill set to AEC which she demonstrated in her four-year tenure as a Washington County Public Schools fourth grade teacher. Her vigorous preparation and endless endeavor for perfection aided her to lead over 97% of her students to meet or exceed learning objectives set forth by the district. Brianne looks forward to progressing her talents and innovation with the team at AEC.

Robin Blair

Office Assistant

Robin was born and raised in State Line, PA.  Robin has over 25 years of office experience.  She currently lives in Greencastle, PA, with her husband.  Robin loves spending time with her grandchildren and family.  She enjoys reading, hiking, kayaking and spending time in the mountains.
